Analisis Kebijakan Zonasi: Dampak Polemik Kebijakan Zonasi Pendidikan Indonesia

Article Summary
The zoning system is one of the education policies that reaped polemics and positive and negative impacts in the early days of its appearance. This can be seen from the findings of the studies that have been conducted. This research aims to explain facts in schools and communities related to the impact of implementing the zoning system. The study found zoning polemics that occurred in the community influenced by several responses that felt the zoning system had limited people's freedom to get access to the best education. In addition, the result of this polemic gave birth to positive and negative impacts from the application of the zoning. The conclusion obtained in this study is that the zoning polemic that occurs is classified into two things, namely procedural problems (technical policies) and substantial problems (concerning citizens' rights). The polemic over the procedural issue has raised doubts due to the uneven existence of schools and policy rules that are still widely violated in the field.
