The profitability of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk., as proxied by Return on Assets, fluctuated during the post-merger period of 2021–2025, making it necessary to analyze the internal and external factors affecting it. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Capital Adequacy Ratio, Operating Expenses to Operating Income, and Inflation on Return on Assets at PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. for the 2021–2025 period. The study employs a quantitative method with an associative approach. The secondary data consist of the quarterly financial statements of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. and inflation data published by Statistics Indonesia (Badan Pusat Statistik), comprising 20 observations from the first quarter of 2021 to the fourth quarter of 2025, selected using a purposive sampling technique. This study is limited to a single company, namely PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, the coefficient of determination, the t-test, and the F-test with the aid of IBM SPSS 25. The results show that the Capital Adequacy Ratio has a positive and significant effect on Return on Assets, whereas Operating Expenses to Operating Income has a negative and significant effect on Return on Assets. Inflation has a positive but insignificant effect on Return on Assets. Simultaneously, the three variables have a significant effect on Return on Assets. The study concludes that the profitability of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. during the study period was influenced by capital adequacy and operational efficiency, while inflation did not show a significant effect.
