This study aims to analyze the symbolic meaning within transcendental communication practices during Nyepi celebrations among the Hindu Tengger community, through the perspective of Symbolic Convergence Theory (SCT). Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected via observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation related to ritual practices, symbol interpretation, and community communication processes. The data were analyzed interactively through stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion, with validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that Nyepi symbols are not limited to physical objects but also include actions, ritual sequences, and sacred atmospheres. Melasti is interpreted as self and nature purification; Tirta as a symbol of life and cleansing; Tawur Kesanga as an effort to maintain balance; Ogoh-ogoh as representations of negative traits; offerings as a means to approach God; incense as a symbol of purity; and Catur Brata Penyepian as self-control and introspection. Ngembak Geni is regarded as a moment for behavioral renewal. The process of symbolic convergence is formed through repeated ritual experiences and intergenerational communication, involving plot, scene, characters, and supporting agents. Transcendental communication and symbolic convergence complement each other in fostering spiritual understanding and collective consciousness, strengthening community identity and ensuring the sustainability of Hindu Tengger cultural and religious values in Tosari.
