Jurnal Teknologi dan Pendidikan is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and academic integrity. The journal adheres strictly to the core principles and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for all participants in the academic publishing ecosystem — authors, peer reviewers, and editors.

Authorship Criteria and Responsibilities

Authorship must be grounded exclusively on substantial intellectual contributions to the research. Each listed author must have contributed significantly to: the conception or design of the study; the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data; and the drafting or critical revision of the manuscript for intellectual content. All authors must approve the final version and agree to take public responsibility for the work.

The journal accommodates manuscripts with up to six (6) authors. Submissions exceeding six contributors must include an explicit written statement in the cover letter detailing each individual's distinct role. Contributors who do not qualify for authorship (such as laboratory assistants, language translators, or technical advisors) must be recognized in the Acknowledgements section.

Authors must reach full agreement on author sequence prior to submission. Any subsequent request to amend author ordering, add authors, or remove authors after manuscript acceptance must be submitted in writing to the Editor-in-Chief, countersigned by all original and proposed authors, accompanied by documented justification in accordance with COPE procedures.

Corresponding Author (CA) Duties:

• Functions as the primary liaison between the editorial office, reviewers, and co-authors throughout review and production.
• Ensures all author metadata, affiliations, and email contacts are accurate upon submission to the OJS platform.
• Receives the formal APC invoice and ensures its settlement upon acceptance.
• Conducts thorough proofreading of final layout galleys and assumes responsibility for typographical accuracy prior to final publication.
• Maintains an active institutional email and guarantees timely responsiveness to editorial inquiries.

Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors confirm that their submission is entirely original and free from rights infringement. If third-party figures, datasets, or graphics are integrated, authors must obtain formal permission from the original rights holders.

Conflict of Interest: Authors must state all commercial, personal, institutional, or financial relationships that could bias their research in a dedicated Competing Interests declaration prior to the References section.

Plagiarism & AI Usage: Plagiarism in any form (including self-plagiarism and text recycling) is strictly prohibited. Submissions are screened with iThenticate, Turnitin, and Copyleaks. Artificial Intelligence (AI) writing tools are permitted solely for linguistic refinement and readability; they cannot be utilized for data generation, methodological execution, or analytical conclusions, and must be fully disclosed in the manuscript.

Research Involving Human Subjects: Investigations involving human participants must have documented approval from an institutional ethics review committee and adhere to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki (2013). Written informed consent must be archived for all participants.

Reviewer Standards and Guidelines

All submissions undergo an initial editorial review and similarity screening before entering peer review. Qualifying manuscripts are subjected to a rigorous double-blind peer review evaluated by a minimum of two independent domain experts whose academic records are verified via Scopus, Google Scholar, or ORCID.

Invited reviewers are given one (1) week to confirm their availability and two (2) weeks to complete the evaluation report once accepted. Evaluations must remain fair, objective, constructive, and free of personal bias.

Reviewers complete their assessment through the OJS structured evaluation rubric, delivering a recommendation of Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject, accompanied by itemized critique for authors and confidential observations for editors.

Editorial Responsibilities and Decisions

The Editor-in-Chief (EiC) holds ultimate authority and accountability for all editorial decisions published within the journal. The EiC guides policy development and acts as the decisive arbiter regarding ethical investigations, corrections, or retractions. Editorial evaluations are determined solely on the basis of academic merit, methodological quality, originality, and clarity:

• Accept — The manuscript fulfills all scope standards, demonstrates robust methodology, adheres to academic English conventions, and raises no ethical ambiguity.
• Minor Revision — The study is theoretically sound but requires minor contextual expansions, formatting adjustments, or bibliographic updates.
• Major Revision — Core arguments require substantial empirical refinement, re-analysis of data, or restructuring; re-evaluation by original reviewers is commonly mandated.
• Reject — The submission fails to meet core methodological benchmarks, demonstrates fatal analytical flaws, or falls outside the aims and scope of the journal.

The Managing Editor oversees daily workflow execution, monitors turnaround deadlines, coordinates editorial tracking, and liaises between authors and editorial boards. The International Advisory Board provides high-level academic direction, while the Support Team provides technical and typesetting assistance without participating in editorial evaluations.

Ethical Concerns, Appeals & Complaints

Authors, reviewers, or third parties with concerns regarding publication misconduct, authorship disputes, or data falsification should contact the Editor-in-Chief directly via the Contact Us channel. If a dispute directly involves the Editor-in-Chief, correspondence should be addressed to the Managing Editor.

All inquiries follow standard COPE flowcharts, involving author correspondence, institutional inquiries if warranted, and objective review by board panels to ensure equitable resolutions.

Post-Publication Corrections

When errors are identified in published articles, the journal implements one of two mechanisms:

• Silent Correction — Minor orthographical or layout errors that have zero impact on scientific interpretations or data integrity may be amended directly in the galley PDF and HTML without a formal erratum.
• Formal Correction (Corrigendum / Erratum) — Significant errors in formulas, figures, authorship affiliations, or datasets that influence understanding are accompanied by a formal correction notice linked bidirectionally to the original article and indexed in scholarly databases.

Retraction Policy

The journal strictly implements COPE Retraction Guidelines. A retraction will be executed if a published paper presents fabricated, falsified, or unreplicable findings, constitutes redundant publication, exhibits severe plagiarism, or violates fundamental research ethics.

Retracted papers remain present on the journal portal to preserve the academic record, with the article title marked as "RETRACTED:" and a watermarked PDF. A formal Retraction Note is published detailing the rationale and initiating parties. Retractions and corrections are enacted purely on ethical necessity and incur no administrative fees.
